What we collect
- Account information: name, email, and however you authenticate (Google, GitHub).
- What you type: the audience briefs, questions, and any customer material (reviews, notes, tickets) you paste in to ground a panel.
- Generated content: the personas, answers, and syntheses a panel produces, stored so you can come back to them later.
Where it goes
- The text you submit to generate personas, interview answers, and syntheses is processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers under their own terms. thepanelist automatically falls back between providers if one is unavailable, so which one handles a given request can vary.
- The same material is processed to generate embeddings that power the real-customer-material grounding feature.
- We do not sell your data. We do not use uploaded customer material to train any model ourselves.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Tag Manager to load basic analytics on the public marketing pages of this site: page views and similar usage data, not the content of any panel, brief, or document you submit inside the product. The authenticated product pages are excluded from search indexing and are not a target of that analytics setup.
What we store, and for how long
Panels, personas, answers, documents, and diversity-check results persist until you delete them. Delete a single panel from its own page, or your whole account (and everything tied to it) from your account settings. Both take effect immediately.
Your choices
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting [email protected].
- You can stop using the product at any time; uploaded material stops being processed the moment you do.

We'll post updates here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
